Practicing Yoga means well-being in Body, Mind and, Spirit. My practice began 20 years ago and I haven’t stopped being a student since my first class. I was lucky enough to find two wonderful teachers that have been my guru’s. Being a yoga teacher for the past 13 years makes me feel so blessed. Yoga has been a part of my life for over 20 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless. Both on and off the mat. It inspires me to live each moment more mindfully.
“The Time For Yoga is Now”
Recently, I read that we have entered the 4th wave of this pandemic, “The Mental Health Wave.” Now we are all seeking the healing benefits of yoga, mindfulness and meditation. In the yoga sutras, the great sage Patanjali said that “Now is the time for yoga.” And that statement is so true, right now, in this moment.
Our classes range from chair yoga, vinyasa (movement with breath), restorative and children’s yoga. I teach pre-school age children through senior adults. In addition, during the adult classes, we teach movement with breath, focusing on alinement and strength. We begin with setting an intention and always end with relaxation. There are many different types of mediations, but not every style of mediation is for everybody. In our meditation workshops, we each have a variety of mediation styles. It is our objective that at the end of the workshop you will leave with at least one mediation style that you can take home and practice daily. Mindfulness is integrated into every class using the breath as a tool to pay attention with a kind, curious and non-judgmental mind.
We are excited to announce that we will be opening a studio in Malverne, NY in September 2021.
Our beautiful studio will offer a variety of yoga classes as well as mediation classes in person as well as on ZOOM.
As a Yoga, Mindfulness, and Meditation Studio, we will offer a variety of classes from adult classes to children’s classes. In our classes, we will combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. We will seek to help others thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, mindfulness and meditation. Our hope is that every time you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
